Hectorol is a prescription medication that is essentially vitamin D , synthetically made. Hectorol aids the body in absorbing calcium. It is also a key component in treatment of secondary hyperparathyroidism in patients that undergo chronic renal dialysis.

Hectorol capsules should be stored at room temperature in an area that is protected from heat, moisture and light.

Before taking Hectorol, notify your healthcare provider about any medical conditions you have, especially if you have liver disease.

If you are breastfeeding a baby, do not take Hectorol.
