Rexulti, generic name brexpiprazole, is an oral prescription medication for a type of depression called major depressive disorder (MDD). It is usually prescribed with other antidepressants.

Rexulti is also used for the treatment of schizophrenia and can be given to adults and pediatric patients 13 years of age and older.

It is classified as an atypical antipsychotic. The exact mechanism of action of Rexulti is unknown, yet it is thought to work on three neurotransmitters (e.g., norepinephrine, dopamine, and serotonin).
