What is Latuda? 

Latuda, with the generic name lurasidone hydrochloride, is an oral medication used to treat schizophrenia and depression associated with bipolar 1 disorder. This drug decreases hallucinations and nervousness. It also improves mood, sleep, appetite, and energy level. 

This atypical antipsychotic drug works by blocking receptors of some neurotransmitters and binding dopamine and serotonin type 2 receptors. This is available in Latuda 120 mg, 80 mg, 40 mg, and 20 mg tablet forms. 

How to use Latuda
