Zarontin is a medication that is used to control absence seizures in the treatment of epilepsy. Zarontin is an anticonvulsant that goes into effect in the brain tissue to stop seizures from occuring.

Store Zarontin in a sealed container at room temperature.  Keep this medication away from heat, moisture, and light.  Do not freeze Zarontin.

Tell your doctor if you are pregnant or plan on becoming pregnant while taking Zarontin, or if you are breast feeding a baby.  The effects of Zarontin on an infant are unknown and could be dangerous.  Tell your doctor if you have any of the following medicatl problems before you take Zarontin.  Blood disorders, depression, systemic lupus erythematosus, grand mal, or tonic-clonic seizures, kidney or liver disease.  Tell your doctor about any medications you are using including prescription and non-prescription before taking Zarontin.
