Armour Thyroid, with the generic name thyroid desiccated, is an oral medication indicated to treat hypothyroidism or underactive thyroid. It is also used to prevent and/or treat certain types of euthyroid goiters, namely multinodular goiter, thyroid nodules, Hashimoto’s disease, and thyroid cancer.
