Forteo (teriparatide) is a medication used to treat osteoporosis in patients with high risk of bone fracture. It is a man-made form of hormone that naturally exists in the body and it increases bone density preventing fractures.

Store all unopened vials, cartridges, or injection pens in the refrigerator within a carton up to 28 days. If not used within 28 days, discard the medication. Keep away from children and pets.
