When should Budesonide/Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray not be taken?

Let your doctor know if you have been sick, have had an infection of any kind, or if you have liver disease, glaucoma, cataracts, herpes simplex infection of the eye, tuberculosis, sores or ulcers in your nose, if you have had a nose injury recently, or if you've had surgery on your nose. Because Rhinocort may lower your bodies blood cells that help fight infection, Rhinocort may not be right for you if you are sick or are around those with illness.

What precautions should I follow when taking Budesonide/Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray?

Talk to your doctor about allergies, or if you have liver disease, glaucoma, cataracts, herpes simplex infection of the eye, tuberculosis, sores or ulcers in your nose, if you have had a nose injury recently, or if you've had surgery on your nose. Avoid being around those that are sick. Avoid getting Rhinocort in your eyes.

What special warning(s) should I be aware of when taking Budesonide/Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray?

Try to keep Rhinocort out of the eyes. Avoid those that are ill, as Rhinocort may decrease your body's ability to fight infections, and may lead to life-threatening situations.

What are the side effects of Budesonide/Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray?

Severe side effects include: allergic reaction; severe or ongoing nose bleed; sores in the nose that don't heal; wheezing, trouble breathing; vision problems; or fever, chills, body aches, and flu symptoms. Less serious side effects include: dry or sore throat, cough; irritation in your nose; pain, swelling, burning, itching, or irritation in your throat; sores or white patches inside or around your nose.

How should I take Budesonide/Rhinocort Aqua Nasal Spray?

Take Rhinocort as it was prescribed to you. Generally, Rhinocort will come with an instruction guide for patients to ensure safety. The regular dose of Rhinocort is 1-4 sprays in each nostril one a day. Before the first use of the spray prime the spray pump by shaking and spraying 8 test sprays into the air away from your face. Prime the spray pump any time you have not used Rhinocort for more than 2 days. Sake the bottle before each use.
