Canadian Online Drugstores - Save up to 90%

  • Canadian online drugstores like Maple Leaf Meds offer savings on prescription drugs up to 90%.

  • How? The Canadian government applies price caps to limit the price pharmaceutical companies can charge for prescription drugs. That, along with a favorable exchange rate between the Canadian and U.S. dollar makes it very inexpensive to purchase prescription drugs from Canada.

Who is MapleLeafMeds?

We have partnered with a premier Canadian doctors' clinic and have prescriptions filled by licensed Canadian pharmacies to help American consumers obtain substantial savings on their prescription medications.

Can you fill a prescription from my American doctor?

Yes. After you mail or fax a copy of your original prescription to us, one of our medical staff will contact you by phone to review a complete patient profile and medical history. One of our Canadian physicians will review your medical history and approve the prescription under his/her Canadian license. Your prescription will be filled at one of our associated drugstores by a licensed Canadian pharmacist.

What is the difference between a brand name drug and a generic drug?

A generic drug is a copy that is the same as a brand-name drug in dosage, safety, strength, how it is taken, quality, performance and intended use.

Since generics use the same active ingredients and are shown to work the same way in the body, they have the same risks and benefits as their brand-name counterparts.

Generic drugs are less expensive because generic manufacturers don’t have the investment costs of the developer of a new drug. New drugs are developed under patent protection. The patent protects the investment—including research, development, marketing, and promotion—by giving the company the sole right to sell the drug while it is in effect. As patents near expiration, manufacturers can apply to sell generic versions. Because those manufacturers don’t have the same development costs, they can sell their product at substantial discounts. Also, once generic drugs are approved, there is greater competition, which keeps the price down. Today, almost half of all prescriptions filled in the US are with generic drugs.
